No snow so far

Last year by this time we had already been through a blizzard and more snow than was usual. On the night before Christmas eve it was raining and all I could think was"YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING". Last year Christmas eve started with a little bit of snow and turned into a blizzard that kept me at the hospital. So when I got home this year on Christmas eve I truly felt like I had experienced a miracle. Our Christmas was really nice. Rhonda spent the night and she and Curt didn't get up till about 10. Beth and Phil had their own Christmas at home before they came to our house. We spent a leisurely time opening presents and really enjoying each other. Beth and Phil cooking up an Italian buffet and I had already baked the pies. We watched a couple of movies and called it a night about 9pm. Lily added so much to the experience. We bought her a radio flyer wagon and she had fun opening it with a little help from grampy. I was canceled the next day so I was able to go to church.
Tonight Ron is participating in the service with a 10 minute sermon. Four men are each speaking for 10 mins. On a different aspect or role of Jesus. He will be last to preach on the topic Jesus our Savior. I am so glad that I can call him my savior and that I know him intimately . I love you all. I am so glad we now have a place to communicate :)

You're All In

Invitations to contribute have been sent to all of you now. I look forward to reading everyone's posts.

I've been away from the computer and phone over the weekend, enjoying multiple house guests, but nothing going according to schedule. Since noon, and until 10 pm tonight when I do an airport pick-up, only Jim and I are here.  I took a hot bath, read the first few chapters in my new book, and checked my email.

Christmas was so wonderful, and thanks to each of you that sent gifts.  More on that later. I have to go to work at the Y this afternoon in a few minutes.

Sometimes there are no teens in the teen center, and I can step into the office and use the computer. Facebook is outlawed at the Y: we had to sign agreements not to use it on their system after 2 viruses in one week. Blogger, however, is allowed. So sweet!

Snow

Way to much snow already and it's only 11:56, can't imagine how much we will get by tomorrow morning. I heard it's been snowing in PA too - how about you neck of the woods Candy? Had a great Christmas but wishing we were all together:( Maybe some year. Dad was happy about his Kindle, Luke helped him with it Christmas night. Thanks for all going in together, it's the first time we've all bought him something together - nice present! Happy New Year!

This is exciting! Such a great time of year to get it going too ... thank you to Trudy for the idea and Cindy for the execution :)

We got an exciting early Christmas gift in the mail today ... Jordin's acceptance letter to Husson University where she will go to school to become an RN and will also play Field Hockey. She is walking on a cloud tonight!

Merry Christmas to all ~
